What does TEK17 require regarding documentation?
The Norwegian Building Authority (DiBK) is clear: it must be documented that the requirements in TEK17 are met in the finished building, and the documentation must be in writing (DiBK, 2025).
TEK17 §2-1 requires the documentation to demonstrate compliance with functional requirements or pre-accepted performance levels. For the execution phase, TEK17 §2-4 covers the actual work itself: photos, checklists and protocols are explicitly named as a valid form of documentation.
